Summer has returned!

Summer has returned?? Well, as with the rest of the world, the weather is one of the major topics here too. We are finally expecting our first triple digit day this weekend, after having a delightful week of mid 70s! In May! In Tucson!

I don't think any of us will
ever again be able to talk about "normal" or "usually" when we're talking weather. It's just weird everywhere.

And the poor folks in the Midwest with their tornadoes an
d floods. . .unbelievably horrible! Thank goodness, Americans are so resilient and giving, since we seem to be the only ones rushing to our own aid!

On a lighter note
, I saw my first covey of quail babies this morning - and they must have just recently popped out of their shells, because they were so so tiny - no more than an inch and a half tall, scurrying after their parents as fast as their little legs would carry them! And of course I didn't have my camera with me.

Last couple mornings I've been watering all the flowers in one of my neighbor's yards, while she's out of town. She has a handful of green thumbs and has a lot of gorgeous flowers I've not even seen before!

Plus a lot that I do know, and in wonderful colors!
