Happy New Year 2009

New Year's Day - the first day of a new year - 2009 -

a year of 'change'!

Well, I chose not to change my favorite way of starting the New Year!

Mimosas and the Rose Parade!

I LOVE THE ROSE PARADE ! ! !

Every year the floats get more elaborate, with more creative uses of bits and pieces of flowers and seeds and seaweed and grasses, more creative animation, more fun!!

I love the marching bands (Hawaii sent the State Marching Band with dancers and almost naked men, with tans!! natural tans!!)

and the horse teams

and the fly-by!!
I know there was football, but I napped thru that! Too many mimosas I guess!
But that's OK - I started the year the best way possible for me!
