Countdown

The countdown has begun - and I'm getting a little skitzy (wonder how that's supposed to be spelled??). Trying to remember all the silly things that must be taken care of, since I won't have the use of my right arm for at least a few days and maybe longer...

Like, I surely won't be able to drive my stick shift Mustang, even if I wanted to.

Like, how the hell do I brush my hair, WASH my hair, brush my teeth, with my left hand?? I can't even get food to my mouth with a fork in my left hand! Walking Misha might even be a challenge!

Like how do I even get in and out of bed? I have a high bed and use my arms to help lift myself up! Thankfully the Silver Fox has a little step that's just the right height to make it easy to make that transition!

I've stocked the house with food, made sure I have enough Jack Daniels and Captain Morgan to hold me, and keep the pain meds lubricated...
made up a bunch of little meatballs for Misha (I've always made stew for my doggies, and she's no exception - I make a batch of meatballs and freeze them, and then add a couple tablespoons of veggies and some kibbles - she eats as well as I do!)...
picked up a bunch of books so if I can stay awake, I can read...
have paid bills...
have updated my will and stuff, as a 'just in case' something goes wrong on the table...
cleaned the coach, top to bottom, since I won't want to do that for a while (as if I ever want to do it)...
done several loads of laundry, so everything in the house is clean (as if I'll be wearing any of my clothes out in public for the foreseeable future)...
fertilized and trimmed up my plants...
and on and on.

45 hours and counting...

and I was just reminded that Lent begins on Wednesday - my response, said without even thinking, was 'yeah, and I'm giving up a boob for Lent' - too bad I can't get it back, healthy, after Easter! (sorry if that offends!)

But the sun is shining here, and I'm receiving an incredible amount of support from my wonderful pals, and all is well! sort of...
