World Cancer Day

On the 4th of February, 2011 the UICC and its partner organizations will run campaigns all over the world to raise awareness for a disease that causes millions of deaths every year, many of which could have been prevented.

More than ever before there is a need for a concerted and coordinated fight against cancer, and the World Cancer Day organization believes that World Cancer Day can play its part by providing an even bigger platform for your cancer messages.

Their hopes are set high: 2011 promises to be an important year with the UN Summit on Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) taking place in September.

If you would like to support their efforts, you will find all the information you need on their website: get informed, learn how to eliminate your own personal risk factors, sign their declaration and help spread the word. It might save a life.
