and an add-on for my post about Tom Mix and Saguaro Cactus -
I took a picture yesterday of one of the younger saguaro cactus (no arms yet, but it's fat and tall - probably about 10') that is ready for transport - to show the root ball.
These roots are bigger and stronger looking than others I've seen - I'm guessing because it's been such a wet winter. Even so, that's a TINY rootball for a plant this big and heavy!

Seems to me that yesterday's weather icon for Apache Junction said it was 85 with a severe weather watch - how severe can 85 degrees be?

I am also still seeking a source to mail-order saguaro cactus flour. I have the agave nectar.
