Where would we be without friends?
Fountain, CO to Denver, CO
75.4 miles
Sunny
Short day today, as I was on my way to visit a good friend, Barbara, and wanted lots of time!! The closest RV park to Barb’s house was in a different town, and she was thoughtful enough to ask the neighboring church if I could park in their parking lot for a couple days – saved a bunch of time and money too!!
We had a great time – Denver is a beautiful city, and we pretty much stayed home, getting caught up, laughing a lot, and analyzing all the world problems.

We watched the Johnny Cash movie, Walk The Line, with Joaquin Phoenix, that I had not yet seen, and I cried a bunch, of course! They did a really good job on the good and bad of that man’s life!
Best of all was getting to see all her photos from her fantastic photo safari in Africa – magnificent adventure!
This traveling around the nation visiting friends is the life!

Hey Gayle,
You don't know me but I came across your blog when I used to read on silver wings (I still miss reading about your adventures, Annette. I wish you'd give it another go!). I am really enjoying reading about all your explorations and your incredible determination in the face of all the coach repairs you have endured! I am trying to build up my courage to do the same thing (only without all the visits to the rv dealerships!)- get out there and live the dream! Keep up the commentary, please. BTW I love the photos and the maps! Pam in Texas
OMG, Pam!!!! Do you still have my email address? I think I have yours but I don't know which one it is because I have two "Pams". Please write to me. (I do have a secret blog, btw.)
I'm so glad you're tracking Gayle's adventures and that maybe we can reconnect this way.
God, don't you just love the internets?!
Gayle, I love the maps, too. And that picture of you is a riot. I think you should post the one of you and Tommie :o)
